Overview
Techable supports elderly residents, family members, community centre managers, and service providers. We collect only the information needed to create accounts, manage centre registrations, connect authorised people, and provide care-related tools.
This policy is a product privacy notice for Techable. It is not a substitute for formal legal advice, and it should be reviewed before production launch in each operating country.
Information We Collect
- Account details such as name, email address, role, authentication provider, and profile photo if supplied by Google sign-in.
- Senior registration details such as age, contact details, nationality, optional date of birth, optional ID number, address, and emergency contact information.
- Community centre details such as centre name, address, manager contact information, member records, registrations, attendance, and centre profile settings.
- Family and service provider details such as relationship, organisation, provider type, linked residents, assigned residents, messages, notes, and activity needed to provide the service.
- Resident support data such as profile information, memories, wellbeing notes, chat-related records, and care session information added by authorised users.
- Technical information needed to run the service, including timestamps, authentication IDs, database record IDs, and basic error or security information.
How We Use Data
- To create and secure user accounts.
- To submit and review senior registrations with selected community centres.
- To link family members and service providers to residents when authorised by a centre manager.
- To provide resident profiles, memory support, care notes, wellbeing views, dashboards, and community centre tools.
- To prevent misuse, debug problems, improve reliability, and maintain the service.
Sharing
Senior registration data is shared with the chosen community centre manager so they can review and manage the registration. Resident data may be visible to authorised family members, service providers, and centre managers according to the role and access links set in Techable. We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for marketing.
Storage And Security
Techable stores application data in Firebase/Firestore and uses Firebase Authentication for sign-in. Access is restricted by role-based rules where supported by the app. We use reasonable technical controls to protect personal information, but no online system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
AI And Memories
Techable may use resident memories, profile details, and conversation context to create a more personal companion experience. Users should avoid adding information they are not authorised to share. Sensitive care or medical information should only be added where appropriate and with permission.
Your Choices
- You may choose not to provide optional fields such as date of birth, ID number, address, or organisation unless your centre requires them separately.
- You may ask the relevant community centre manager to update, unlink, or remove resident and registration records they control.
- Account holders may request account deletion or correction through the centre or by contacting Techable.
